More About Brown Contracting
About Us
My journey into carpentry began as a truly transformative learning experience. I vividly remember our first project—installing baseboards in a lake house. I quickly mastered the skills, from making precise cuts to perfecting cope cuts on the baseboard joints.
The satisfaction of seeing my efforts come to life and knowing they would be part of someone’s home for years was incredibly rewarding. This initial experience with baseboards soon led to more complex projects, such as crown molding, chair rails, shadow boxes, and even stair rails.
There’s nothing quite like the moment after cleanup when you step back and appreciate the final product, knowing you’ve poured your heart, soul, and discipline into it.
To further hone my skills, I worked alongside my father-in-law in his remodeling company. This experience allowed me to develop a wide range of trade skills, including flooring, tile work, painting, and all the finishing touches that transform a house into a home.
Eventually, I moved on to start my own remodeling company, with a special focus on trim carpentry—my first love.

When it gets Real...
The moment it became real for me was when I secured my first new construction trim package installation for a condo building with four units. This project was an invaluable learning experience and provided me with a crucial foot in the door.
The most important takeaway was realizing that, whether it’s a rental unit or a mansion, we are committed to delivering the highest caliber of craftsmanship for every project.
The best part of a job well done is seeing a vision come to life and bringing elegance to a client’s home. Standing back and appreciating the finished work, knowing that everything has been completed with the highest level of integrity, is incredibly satisfying.
Family, a Secret Weapon
Presently, my wife is the secret weapon to our success. We are both dedicated to providing clients with a service-oriented experience during what can often be a chaotic construction project.
She streamlines the process, mitigating any and all problems when possible. As our point of contact, she is naturally relational and knowledgeable, making her invaluable to our team.
Our family plays a significant role in our business. Working alongside my father-in-law taught me many of the skills I use today. Now, we have two kids who are eager to “help papa work!“
I can’t wait to bring them on-site, continuing the tradition of family involvement and passing down the love for this craft.
At our core, we are committed to making our clients a priority, ensuring that their visions come to life with the highest level of craftsmanship and integrity. Let us bring elegance and dedication to your home, creating a space you’ll cherish for years to come.
